Álava is a region with its own unique personality, which has been constantly influenced by the numerous civilisations and cultures that have passed through it, providing a solid foundation for facing the challenges of the future. This exhibition delves into the richness of these perspectives, defines the foundations that have guided us to the present day, and focuses on the crossroads of these key elements in order to continue building a prosperous, welcoming and promising land.
‘Encrucijada’ is a declaration of intent that sums up ARKABIA’s raison d’être: a project that speaks of Álava, its identity, its influences, its wealth, its potential and its people. It is a look at our region that we hope will make us proud of what it has been, what it is, and what we believe it will be.
Through a combination of explanatory texts and technological resources, the exhibition brings together the past, present and future, offering an experience for all the people of Álava, the true protagonists of ‘Encrucijada’. But it is also aimed at visitors to Vitoria-Gasteiz, who will find in it the key to discovering and learning about a reality steeped in history and potential.
